The “Popcork” Experience™ Gone Green: Exploring Organic Food and Wine Pairings
Noted food and wine educator Sharon Charny will use a neutrally flavored medium – popcorn – to lead attendees through a tasting of four different organic wines, featuring specific grape varietals, along with different flavors of popcorn – lemon, salt, sugar and spice. Charny will also discuss common misperceptions about “organic” or “green” wines and what actually constitutes a “certified organic wine.”

Washington Wine Academy presents
Pinot Noirs: A Comparative Tasting from Around the World
Master of Wine, Jay Youmans, leads a tasting which examines the different expressions of Pinot Noir produced in Burgundy, California, Oregon, New Zealand and other countries. The tasting will be conducted in a blind format and will focus on the impacts of climate, soil and winemaking techniques. Jay Youmans MW is owner of Rock Creek Wine Merchants, co-publisher of the International Wine Review, and an instructor for the Washington Wine Academy and the Wine & Spirit Education Trust.
